Dr Foley
MBBS, BMedSci, MD, FACD

Associate Professor Foley’s interests in dermatology include psoriasis, photosensitivity (sunlight sensitivity) disorders, non surgical management of nonmelanoma skin cancers and photodynamic therapy (PDT). He was one of the first doctors in Australia to introduce PDT, being involved with clinical trials with this treatment option from 2001. Currently he is on the Board of Directors of the International Society for Photodynamic Therapy in Dermatology and on the editorial board of Clinical Photodynamics in Dermatology. He is Australia’s only councillor on the International Psoriasis Council. In addition, Associate Professor Foley is on the Board of the Photomedicine Society.

Associate Professor Peter Foley graduated MBBS and BMedSc. from Monash University in 1987. His BMedSc. thesis was the first National Skin Cancer Survey. After obtaining an MD looking at the effects Vitamin D on the skin, Associate Professor Foley completed his dermatology training obtaining fellowship in 1997. Since that time he has consulted at Malvern. In addition, he attends the phototherapy, photodynamic therapy and biological therapy clinics at the Skin and Cancer Foundation, and the dermatology investigation, biological therapy, photobiology and cutaneous lymphoma clinics at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne where he is also Head of Dermatology Research.

Associate Professor Foley’s research activities include being a Principal Investigator for clinical trials, having been involved in over 70 trials for indications including psoriasis, eczema,seborrhoeic dermatitis, acne, rosacea, cutaneous lupus , hidradenitis suppurativa, tinea, actinic keratoses, nonmelanoma skin cancer and urticaria. He has an appointment as an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine (Dermatology) at The University of Melbourne and is involved in medical student teaching. Currently he is Director of Research, and immediate Past-President of the Skin & Cancer Foundation (2008-2012), a tertiary referral centre with subspecialty dermatology clinics.

Associate Professor Foley has published widely and now has over 70 manuscripts in print.

Dr Sudha Anish
MBBS, MD (Dermatology, Venereology & Leprology), DPD, MSc, PD, FACD

Dr Sudha Anish is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD).  She has been practicing dermatology for 15 years, initially as a specialist dermatologist in India and the Middle East before relocating to Australia in 2016.

Dr Anish completed MD dermatology from India in 2006, and also obtained Masters in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University, UK.  She undertook further training in Dermatology at the major Victorian tertiary hospitals including The Alfred Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, and the Skin Health Institute.

Dr Anish is a general dermatologist with a range of interests in medical and surgical dermatology, including acne, alopecia, hair and nail disorders, hyperhidrosis, inflammatory skin conditions such as, eczema, psoriasis, and urticaria, and skin cancer surveillance and management.

She endeavours to provide evidence-based and comprehensive, individualised care to all her patients.

Dr Rebecca Nguyen
MBBS (Hons) FACD
Dr Rebecca Nguyen is a consultant dermatologist in private practice and holds appointments at Monash Health, Eastern Health and the Skin Health Institute. Dr Nguyen graduated from Monash University in 2008 before undertaking her dermatology training in Melbourne and was awarded in 2013 the President’s Medal for Pharmacology, in 2014 the prestigious Australasian College of Dermatologists travelling scholarship to Oxford, United Kingdom and in 2016, the Founder’s Medal for Procedural Dermatology.
She was also a previous recipient of the fellowship of the International Psoriasis Council and is regularly involved in peer-to-peer and patient education meetings both locally and internationally in regards to the evolving treatment landscape of inflammatory skin disorders including psoriasis, eczema and others.
Dr Nguyen has expertise in both adult and paediatric dermatology. Her areas of interest include eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, hyperhidrosis, skin cancer management and women’s dermatology. She is also involved in Clinical Trials at the Skin Health Institute for inflammatory skin disorders. She is happy to see a wide variety of patients in her practice.
Dr Michaela Zallmann
BBNSc (Hons), MBBS (Hons), FACD

Dr Michaela Zallmann is a consultant dermatologist - fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. She is passionate about optimising skin health and providing the highest standard of evidence-based care.

Dr Zallmann completed her medical degree at Monash University, where she was awarded Honours. She undertook dermatology training across several tertiary hospitals including St Vincent’s Hospital, The Alfred Hospital, The Skin Health Institute and The Royal Children’s Hospital. Additionally, she has worked in multidisciplinary melanoma clinics at the Victorian Melanoma Service. During her training, Dr Zallmann was awarded a scholarship to the world renowned St John’s Institute of Dermatology, London, where she undertook a one year fellowship alongside leading experts in subspecialty fields including eczema, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, cutaneous lymphomas, immunobullous conditions, autoimmune connective tissue disorders, urticaria and paediatrics. 

Dr Zallmann has a keen interest in academic research. She has published in several international peer-reviewed journals including the British Journal of Dermatology, Acta Dermato-Venereologica and Pediatric Dermatology, and presented her research at scientific conferences, both locally and internationally. She has been a sub-investigator in several clinical trials across the fields of psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, rosacea, acne, epidermolysis bullosa and locally advanced basal cell carcinoma.

Dr Zallmann is a general dermatologist who sees both adult and paediatric patients with an active interest in all aspects of dermatology including skin cancer detection and surgical management, paediatric dermatology, eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, urticaria and autoimmune connective tissue disorders. In addition to private practice, Dr Zallmann works at Monash Hospital and the Northern Hospital where she is involved in teaching dermatology trainees and students. Dr Zallmann is informative and empathetic in her approach and is dedicated to helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes for their individual skin needs.

Dr Senhong (Isaac) Lee
MBBS (Hons)MMed (Clin Epi) FACD

Dr Senhong (Isaac) Lee is an Australian trained dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. He is of Malaysian background and can converse in Mandarin.

Dr Lee completed his medical degree with honours at Monash University. Whilst in medical school, he was awarded the Australian College of Dermatologists Prize in Dermatology in recognition of his excellence in dermatology theoretical knowledge and practical skills. During his dermatology training, Dr Lee has worked in tertiary referral hospitals around the state, including Monash Health, The Alfred Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital and Northern Health. He has also worked as a medical student in dermatology centres abroad, including Malaysia and Nepal.

Dr Lee is passionate about research and evidence-based medicine. He received a partial scholarship to complete a Master of Medicine (Clinical epidemiology) with the University of Sydney. He also received the prized Geoffrey Berry Biostatistics Award during his masters’ studies. His commitment to research in dermatology has resulted in his research being published in local and international dermatology journals. Dr Lee is interested in general medical dermatology, with interests including eczema, psoriasis, acne, skin cancer, and hair loss.

Dr Lee-Mei Yap
MBBS (Hons), FACD

Dr Lee Mei Yap is an accomplished medical and cosmetic dermatologist who is dedicated to providing her patients with outstanding dermatological care. She consults in all areas of dermatology involving adults and children. Her areas of expertise in private practice include:

  • Skin cancer management
  • Common skin conditions such as acne and keloid scarring
  • Inflammatory rashes such as eczema and psoriasis
  • Excessive sweating
  • Cosmetic dermatology

Dr Yap is an expert in the field of cosmetic dermatology who is highly skilled in the use of:

  • Lasers (vascular, pigment reduction, photo rejuvenation, resurfacing)
  • Anti-ageing therapies
  • Cosmetic Enhancements
  • Cosmeceuticals (skin care)

She is passionate and committed to achieving the best, individual and most natural aesthetic outcome for all of her patients.

Aside from her private practice, Dr Yap is a Consultant Dermatologist at the St Vincent's Hospital Multidisciplinary Skin Lymphoma Clinic, Complex Dermatology / Psoriasis / Biologic Therapies Clinic and the Skin Cancer Triage Clinic. She has been a visiting specialist at the Alfred Hospital and the Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) Clinic at the Skin Health Institute.

Dr Yap graduated in Medicine with Honours from the University of Melbourne. She was admitted as a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD) in 2005 and trained at St Vincent's Hospital, The Alfred, Monash Medical Centre, Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Skin Health Institute.

Dr Yap has multiple scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and is actively involved in medical education and training of dermatology trainees, general practitioners and nurses. She is regularly invited to speak at national and international educational meetings and conferences. Her dermatology college representations include being appointed to the Executive Committee and Faculty Secretary of the Victorian Faculty of Dermatologists. She is an active member of the Australasian Society of Cosmetic Dermatologists.

Dr Yap takes great pride in her work, treats every patient as an important individual and is committed to providing a high standard of dermatological care in a caring, reliable and professional manner.

Dr William Berry
MBBS, BMedSci, PhD, FACD

Dr William Berry is a specialist dermatologist and a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologist's. Dr William's clinical interests include skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, hyperhidrosis, men's dermatology and hair disorders.

Dr William studied medicine at Monash University. As a medical student Dr William also completed Honours and a Doctoral research degree in molecular biology and personalised cancer therapy. During medical school Dr William won the Terrence Connors prize in Dermatology with Monash University and the Medical student prize in Dermatology awarded by the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Dr William has maintained an interest in teaching and research, publishing in multiple international dermatology journals and holding positions at Melbourne University, Northern Health, Eastern Health and the Skin Health Institute. Dr William is committed to providing inclusive, high quality care to individuals from all backgrounds.
