Dr Manuelpillai has a broad clinical interest across all areas of dermatology. This includes skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, urticaria, acne, rosacea, and autoimmune connective tissue diseases. As part of the Team at Foley Dermatology’s Malvern Clinic, Dr Nick Manuelpillai is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care tailored to each individual.
He completed his medical degree at the University of Notre Dame Australia. This followed a diverse professional background in engineering and health technology. He also holds a Master of Public Health (Epidemiology) from the University of New South Wales. His training and experience include public health work in Amsterdam. Additionally, he completed a dermatology fellowship at the University of Bologna, Italy.
Dr Manuelpillai completed his specialist dermatology training across a number of leading tertiary centres. These included Westmead Hospital and The Skin Hospital in Sydney, and in Melbourne at St Vincent’s Hospital, The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Western Health, The Royal Children’s Hospital, and the Skin Health Institute. He has been involved as a sub-investigator in multiple clinical trials at the Skin Health Institute. In addition, he has published research nationally and internationally.
In addition to private practice, Dr Manuelpillai holds clinical appointments at Western Health and the Skin Health Institute. At these institutions, he is actively involved in the education and supervision of dermatology trainees and junior doctors.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, and playing the trumpet.
